The Perception Laboratory's Face Transformer

Entro en el buscador de imágenes y escribo afroamericano. Me aparecen en orden: Un dibujo que me remite al blog de un artista que encuentra por casualidad un dibujo que había hecho hacía años, y que titula afroamericano; una foto de una barriga blanca con la cara de Will Smith recortada y una nube que dice "Wise up man!; una foto de Obama titulada " ...Gracias al voto afroamericano..."; una foto del nuevo gobernador de NY titulada "...Ciego y afroamericano..."; y una cuadrícula de dibujos que se titula "...asiático, afroamericano...".

Este último me remite a otro blog esta vez de un diseñador que invita a entrar en una página. Dice: " trata de jugar un poco con una foto nuestra, (si lo quieres así), y ver sus posibles variaciones entre, bebé, joven, adolescente, asiático, afroamericano, y bastantes variaciones más. Algunas tan divertidas como la que te deja ver como te hubiera pintado El Greco, o Botticelli."

You can use the Perception Laboratory's Face Transformer to change the age, race or sex of a facial image, to transform it to the style of a famous artist, to make an exagerated caricature or even make an ape of yourself!

Upload and Play

You will need to have a digital facial image (similar to the face in the centre above) in Jpeg or Gif format and a Java enabled browser.

For best results you should use a "passport-style" image of the subject facing the camera with the mouth closed and a neutral expression.

You can use any size image, but it will be rescaled to fit in a 640 by 480 pixel window and so this is the recommended resolution.
